Re: Howard Stern

Stern is nothing more than a trash mouth piece of crap. He is a great example of how America has been going down the tube since the 60's.

where did ya find all of that info...i am sure you did not know all of that before hand quit relying on others information...sound familiar

    [/ QUOTE ]

I got the main things--3.3 million subscribers, $500 million over 5 years, stock compensation, and the rest from news sources (CNN, WSJ, etc). The rest is calculation and conjecture on my part as to what will happen. I took credible, factual information and formed an opinion.

I'm not listening to Mike Golic say Howard Stern is going to cost Sirius radio money so don't get it on Mike & Mike In The Morning. In other words, you took analysts opinions as to what they thought would happen, came to the board, and posted them as your own like they were bible truth. That's the difference...you got called on it and now you're upset so the smartarse defense kicks in...NICE ONE. You really got me Oaktown...

I'm not mad, and I'm not really even a Stern fan. I got Sirius for NBA, NFL, and other sports channels along with Raw Dog 104 with Jim Breuer's show on it. Stern had nothing to do with it.

BUT, factually, O&A if they used to work for Stern on his staff, they couldn't have had their ideas "stolen" because they were his staff & creative personnel. Whatever ideas they had to do on his show were fair game for him to use because he was paying them. You don't hear Paul Mooney raising hell because Richard Pryor used his jokes that he wrote for Pryor while he was on Pryor's creative staff, do you? NO--because that's business. If O&A want to paint it one way and Howard another--then the truth probably lies between the two...not with one or the other.

But as I said, I make my arguments based on facts and stuff dude...then form an opinion--you form opinions based on opinions based on opinions...you can think what you want, you're free to, I'm just backing up what I'm saying with real world #'s and facts.

man cant you read...the only thing that i mentioned about espn radio is the fact that they said that bush only carries the ball 15 or 20 times a game...now since you are so smart tell me where i based my opinion on what the experts said when i clearly stated in the sentence before that all three would be flops...i was just giving more information about reggie bush to the other readers

If your opinion is the same as ESPN's, so be it. But the way you came across was that you were regurgitating the opinions you had heard and were passing them off as your own. Think for yourself dude...if you want to talk about how the players played when you watched them, then that has nothing to do with what random ESPN "expert" thought and expressed as an opinion.

Why not talk numbers and style of play in a critical discussion instead of leaving the dangling caveat of "that's what the experts at ESPN think"?

They better not go belly up because I have 3 Sirius subscriptions, and have for 2 1/2 years. Sirius has a much larger increase in subscriptions than what XM has, and had it not been for XM's relationship with GM, Sirius would be way ahead of XM as far as number of overall subscriptions.

Now, MG the only thing that you may like XM better than Sirius is because XM has exclusive rights to MLB. You can listen to every Red Sox game. When they are at home to listen to their broadcasters. Now if their at Yankee Stadium, you would have to listen to Michael Kay.

I do like borrowing a buddies here at work and listenig to Harry Doyle though (aka Bob Uecker for those who don't have clue). Sirius has all NFL game, NCAA tournament bball games if I am not mistaken, NBA, and beginning in 2007 NASCAR will switch to Sirius.

All true Stripes...Sports radio/talk is huge, and so is comedy radio. Sirius has the market cornered on both when it comes to Satellite radio.
